Qualifications Scotland opens board meeting to the public for the first time
- Qualifications Scotland
For the first time, Qualifications Scotland is inviting members of the public to observe one of its board meetings.
The meeting will take place virtually on Wednesday 16 September 2026, hosted through Microsoft Teams. The public session will run from 10.15am to 12.10pm.
Agenda topics include Qualifications Reform, Accreditation Reform, along with updates from the Strategic Advisory Council, the Teacher and Practitioner Interest Committee, and the Learner Interest Committee.
Shirley Rogers CBE, Chair of Qualifications Scotland, said:
“As a new organisation, we want to do things differently and openness is central to that. Opening our board meeting to the public is part of our commitment to being open and transparent as a new organisation. We want people to see how decisions are made and to build trust in how we work.
"Inviting members of the public to observe our board meeting is a simple but important way of showing how we work and building confidence in our decisions. I'd encourage anyone with an interest to join us on 16 September."
